The Address Picker is a powerful multi-function memory table. In Edit Mode, it has five main purposes supported by extensive Sort and Find features and the handy Fill-Down feature described below. The Address Picker - Edit Mode is used to:
1Fill Down: This button makes it easy to give Sequential Nicknames to adjacent memory locations, for example: Switch 1, Switch 2, Switch 3, etc. (Shortcut Key: Ctrl + Enter)
2 Find: The Address Picker also has a powerful search tool. Just enter a part of the Address, Nickname, or Address Comment you want to search for and click Find. The Find feature will lead you directly to the Memory Location with that attribute. Click the Find button to Find the next. (Shortcut Keys: Ctrl + F (Moves cursor to the Find field), Ctrl +F3 (Find Downward), and Shift + F3 (Find Upward)).
3 TheExact Matchcheckbox is selected by default. When checked, the search is limited to anExact Matchof the entry in theFindfield, discussed above inItem 2.
4 AZ Sorter: The Address Picker will sort the table by any one of the columns. Click on the Column Header to sort the table by that column. An icon will appear in the Column Header that is the column by which the table is currently sorted. Click the active Column Header again to toggle the data from Ascending to Descending order.
5 Address Type Buttons: Jump to another Memory Range within a Address Type by left clicking the Address Type selection button ( show) or by right clicking in the body of the table. (Shortcut Key: Ctrl + Up/Down Arrow).
6 Address: This column displays the Addressesavailable for configuration.
7 Data Type:This column displays the Data Type of the Address.
8 Nickname: To Assign a Nickname to a Memory Location, click in the Nickname cell corresponding to the desired Memory Location. Type the Nickname in the cell and click OK to save the entry or entries and close the dialog. (Shortcut Keys: Enter (Enter the Text Entry mode) and Esc (Quit the Text Entry mode)).

Note:Maximum 24 Characters. You can't use the System Reserved Characters within Nicknames.
Note: The Nicknames are not stored in the PLC until the project is transferred to the PLC.
Note:Nicknames can be Exported (File > Export > Nickname) into a csv file. You can edit the csv file and Import (File > Import > Nickname) later. |
9Used: This column displays of the respective Address is being Used or not in this project.
10 Initial
Value: The Initial
Value column allows you to set the Initial
Values that the CPU
module automatically sets after power-up or the PLC
mode is changed from STOP
to RUN.
Bit Memory Addresses (Except SC): Click the button to
toggle between ON
and OFF. (Shortcut Keys: Enter (Toggle
between ON and OFF), 1
(Set ON) and 2 (Set OFF).
Data Registers (Except XD, YD, and SD): If the
current status is Disable,
double-click the cell and enter the Initial
Value. The Retentive
status in the next column is automatically switched to NO.

Note: The Initial Values are not stored in the PLC until the project is transferred to the PLC. Initial Value is not supported by C0-00, C0-01 or C0-02 PLCs.

11 Retentive: You can select if the value of each Memory Address is Retentive or not separately. When the Retentive setup is YES, the CLICK PLC keeps the value while the power is OFF. When the Retentive setup is NO, the CLICK PLC sets the Initial Value to the Memory Address after power-up or the PLC mode is changed from STOP to RUN. This option is not available for Memory Addresses SC, XD, YD, SD and TXT. (Shortcut Key: Enter (Toggle between YES and NO), 1 (Set YES) and 2(Set NO). Click green text to see two tables listing the Default Retentive Setup for Memory Addresses.

12 Create Address Comments by clicking in the Address Comment cell corresponding to the desired Memory Location and typing the comment.

13 Select the Memory Types to display. You can display All Memory Types or select only the ones you want to display.
14 You can display all Memory Locations or you can display only UsedMemory Locations or only UnusedMemory Locations.
15 You can select to display the MODBUS Addresses and select between 984 or Hex Addressing.
16 OK: Save the changes and close the window. (Shortcut Key: Ctrl + L)
17 Cancel: Discard the changes and close the window.(Shortcut Key: Esc)
