The Screen Change Event type is used to cause an action(s) to occur when a particular screen is changed, either opened or closed.
To enter a Screen Change Event, do the following:
From the Database tab in the top Ribbon, select Event Manager Database.
- In the Event Manager window, click Add.
- For the Event Type, select Screen Change.
- Complete the fields on the top half of the screen (above the big blue arrow) using the information in the table below.

Field | Description |
Enable This Event | Select this check box to enable the event. If the Event is not enabled, it will not execute when the trigger occurs. |
Event Name | The programmer-assigned name for each event. Event Name is not a requirement. |
Event No. | The assigned event number for each specific event is used only as a reference in the database. |
Screen No. and Screen Name | Select the Screen Number or Screen Name of the existing screen to monitor for the Event trigger. |
When Screen is Opened/Closed | Click to select whether the Event will trigger when the selected screen is opened or closed. |
