Tag Copy Action

The Tag Copy action copies the Tag value from the Source Tag to the Destination Tag.

Use this to copy Data from one controller to another, commonly referred to as Protocol Conversion.

Note: The Source Tag and Destination Tag Data types must be the same.

The basic steps are the same for adding any Event Action to an Event. See Adding Event Actions - The Basics.

Tag Copy Action
Field	Description
Source Tag	Select the tag that you want to copy to the Destination tag.
Destination Tag	Select the tag that you want to receive the source tag.
Byte Swap	Applicable to ASCII data, the Byte Swap check box allows characters to display in the proper order when the configuration of memory registers in the PLC would otherwise display the characters out of order.
