The Out Timed instruction turns the output Bit Memory Address On for a minimum specified time when the rung is enabled. If the rung goes false before the On Time has elapsed, the output remains On until the On Time is complete. When the Output Maintained option is enabled, the output remains On as long as the rung remains true after the On Time has elapsed. When the Output Maintained option is disabled, the output turns Off when the On Time is complete regardless of rung state.
One Timer Current Value (TD) register is consumed by each Out Timed instruction.
1 Bit Memory Address 1: Choose a Bit Memory Address to associate with the Out instruction. Either type the Bit Memory Address directly in the address field or use the Browse Button 
to open the Address Picker.
2 Minimum On Time: Assign Data Memory Address to hold the Minimum On Time value or a Constant. DS is the only eligible Data Memory Address range.
3 On Time Timer Number: Assign a Timer Current Value (TD) Register to be used for the On Time Timer Number. TD is the only eligible Data Memory Address range.
4 Unit: Assign the time measurement Units using the Drop Down List (ms, sec).
5 Output Maintained Check Box: Choose whether the output Bit Memory Address remains on as long as the rung is true or if the Bit Memory Address turns off when the Minimum On Time is reached whether rung is still true or not.
6 Input / Output Timing Chart: The Timing Chart updates to represent the options chosen in Step 5 and will display according to the setting chosen.
Example Program 1: Output Maintained Off
In the following example, when the input status bit X001 is on for any amount of time, output bit Y001 will turn On and remain On for 1000 ms then turn Off.
Example Program 2: Output Maintained
In the following example, when the input status bit X001 is On for less than 1000 ms, output bit Y001 will turn on for 1000 ms then turn Off. When the input status bit X001 is On for longer than 1000 ms, the output bit Y001 will remain on until X001 goes Off.
