Alarms/Events Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

The C-more Software uses an Event Manager Database where users can setup different types of Events including Events that indicate an Alarm Action. To learn more about using Events as an Alarm Action, see Alarm Setup.

This Action is only active when an FTP server is added to the address book. Once the FTP server is added, the FTP transfer option is viewable under Actions

This Option is only available if one or more email addresses are added to the Address Book. Once an email address is added, the Email Notification Option is viewable under Actions. To learn more about adding emails to the address book, see Address Book.

You can have a combination of 16 allowable Actions per Event. However, for each type of Action, the limitations per Event are:

• Alarm Action1 per Event
• Tag Action16 per Event
• Tag Copy Action16 per Event
• Sound Action1 per Event
• Screen Capture Action1 per Event
• Mail Action 1 per event (requires Panel Manager Email setup) 1 per Event (Requires Panel Manager Email setup)
• FTP Action1 per Event (Requires Panel Manager FTP setup)
• Backlight Action1 per Event
• Screen Change Action1 per Event
• Message Box Action16 per Event

For example, the table below shows a possible combination 16 Actions for an Event. You can use any of the available Actions as long as the limitations described above are not exceeded and the total Actions don't exceed 16.
