Read From Panel Button
Read From Panel is used when the user wants to back up the project currently loaded in a panel and /or to edit the project in the panel.
To Read a Project from a panel, do the following:
- From the File menu, if a project is already open you can select Read from Panel to open the Start a Project window.
- If a project is not already open, from the File menu select Start Project then Read From Panel in the Start a Project window.
- Select the Connection Type.
Refer to the Communication Ports section in Chapter 2 of the C-more Panel User Manual for information on Connection Types available.
- If the PC is connected to the panel via USB cable, select the USB option and follow the instructions provided below for USB connection.
- If the PC is connected to the panel via an Ethernet connection, select the Ethernet option and follow the instructions provided below for Ethernet connection.
Read a Project from a Panel Using a USB Connection
- With the Read From Panel button selected, click on the USB radio button to select it. Verify that the connection Indicator turns Green. A Red Indicator indicates a connection failure to the USB port. If the Indicator is Red, check your cable connections.
- If the Indicator is Green, click the Read Project button.
Read Project from Panel Using an Ethernet Connection

Once a connection is established with the desired panel, click on the OK button and return to the Start a Project/Read From Panel window.
During the Project Reading process, a progress window like the one shown below appears. When the process completes, the Project Reading progress window closes.
- Click OK in the Start Project window and the project read from the panel opens in the work area.
- You can Save the project and proceed with the development.
