Example FTP Connection

Topic: CM155

Once a project is downloaded to the C-more panel with the FTP Server Enabled and Panel Network - Ethernet Port configured, the files may be viewed using a Web Browser or FTP Client such as FileZilla™.

Below is an example of accessing the files using Microsoft Internet Explorer™ Web browser.

For the URL address, enter ftp://[Panel IP Address]/. If a User name and Password were configured for the FTP server, you will be prompted to enter them to log in. If neither was configured, select Log on anonymously.

Note: If you use Internet Explorer with a panel that requires a Username and Password, you can set up a link to ‘ftp://<userid>:<password>@<panel-IP>’ to avoid having to enter the logon Information.

Browser Settings

To ensure that the browser displays the panel's current files, do the following:

  1. On the top right of the Internet Explorer window, click on the gear icon.

  1. From the drop-down menu, select Internet Options.
  • The Internet Options window opens.

  1. Under Browsing History, click Settings.
  • The Website Data Settings dialog box opens.

  1. In the Settings dialog box, click on Every time I visit the web page so that each time the touch panel FTP site is accessed, the most current files are displayed.
