Application Tools Panel

Description

The Application Tools Panel allows the user to set up the CPU hardware and security, write/edit the project Tag Database, manipulate data obtained by the CPU and control the CPU operation.

Accessing Application Tools Panel

The Application Tools Panel is displayed on the Main Screen and can be placed where desired. If the Application Tools Panel is not displayed, it can be accessed from the Tools Menu as shown below.

Using the Application Tools Panel

The Application Tools Panel provides four Application Tool folders:

• Setup: The Setup folder provides access to the CPU Hardware configuration, Project Security Options, and the CPU Time/Date setup.


• Write Program: The Write Program folder provides access to view and edit the Tag Database, view the I/O Modules and GS Drives configuration, add and edit Rung Comments and cross reference Tasks, Tags and I/O.


• Monitor & Debug: The Monitor & Debug folder provides access to View and/or Force Data, Set up and Log Data, Tune PID Loops, Test HSO Modules, Set up and View Bit and/or Word Histograms (charts) and View/Edit CPU Error and Event History.


• Control CPU: The Control CPU folder provides access to place the CPU Offline or Online, select a CPU from an Ethernet network through direct access, Transfer projects to the CPU, and place the CPU in the Run, Stop or Debug modes.
