Do I have to connect C-more to the Internet in order to send email?

No. C-More must have a connection to an SMTP server via Ethernet. To learn more see Touch Panel Network.

Why do I get this error? "Email Services are Not Configured"

I know that I can send an email based on an event, but I get an "Email Services are Not Configured" error when I select mail as an Event Action during configuration.

The Email feature requires at least one email address to be setup in the Address Book. To learn more about setting up Emails, seeEmail.

How do find out the IP Address of my Email server or FTP server?

If you know the name of the server such as mail.mycompany.com you can ping the server.

Open the command prompt on your computer.
Enter "c:\ping mail.mycompany.com"in the window.
Press enter or return.
The IP address is returned in the command window.

Can the C-more panel send text messages?

No, but it can email to text with the same Message length restrictions as text messages.

Contact your cell provider (or google) for the format of the cell phone email address.
