Digital Clock Object

The Clock Objects Analog Clock and Digital Clock, allow you to display date and time information in the project.

These objects have a Visibility option. Visibility can be effective in your project, but it also has a significant cost in terms of CPU resources and noticeably affects screen update rates.

The Digital Clock object is an electronic version of a typical Digital Clock. The Digital Clock can be placed on a screen to display the current time and/or date.

You can edit Digital Clock to various shapes, colors, and sizes.

Add a Digital Clock Object to your Project

To add a Digital Clock Object to your project:

From the Object menu, select Clock and then Digital Clock

from the Object list, under Clock double-click Digital Clock or click and drag Digital Clock to the work
— or —
from the Parts List window, select the desired Digital Clock and drag it to the work area.

The Digital Clock window opens displaying the General tab.

Complete the fields on the screen using the information in the table below.

Field	Description
Tag Name Database	This button opens a window that allows you to add, edit, or delete Tag Names. See Tag Name Database.
Clock Display
Time, Date, Time & Date	Tick the box to select if this object will display only the Time, only the Date, or both Time and Date.
Time Option	Allows you to select to display the time in 24-hour mode or Standard, and to display seconds or not. The boxes are ticked by default, so that the time format is 24-Hhurs and the seconds are displayed.
Date Format	Click on the down arrow to select the desired Date Format display.
Text and Back Color	Click on the Color box and choose a color from the Color Palette that appears. You can also select color Templates that are a combination of Text and Background colors.
Blink	Click on the check boxes if you would like the Text or the Back Color respectively to blink.
Text Size	The text size depends on the type of font selected. For all fonts except Class, the minimum size is 8 and maximum is 72. If a smaller or larger text size is needed, simply type in the desired size.
Font	Click on the Font button to select a different Font for the label text.
