Communication Configuration

Communication Configuration is located on the bottom portion of the Panel Tab of the Navigation Window. The Communication Configuration allows you to choose the method to be used to connect the PC and the panel.

Communication options are:

USB: Click the USB radio button to choose to communicate with the panel via USB. You must connect the USB cable between the PC and the panel. Once the PC and the panel connect, the Red indicator turns Green.
Ethernet: Click on the Ethernet radio button to choose to communicate with the panel via Ethernet. There must be an Ethernet network connection between the PC and the panel. Once the PC and the panel connect, the Red indicator turns Green. If necessary, click on the down arrow on the field to view a list of available panels on the network. Select the panel you want to use. If the panel you are connecting to was previously connected, the panel IP Address is available in the drop-down list.

If the panel you want to use is not listed, click on the Browse button to open the Ethernet Connection Setup window and find the panel. To learn more about Browse, see Ethernet Connection Setup.
