AutomationDirect® now offers DataWorx software, an Ethernet-based PLC data collection and storage software package that works with its full line of PLCs. DataWorx PLC connects Ethernet-enabled DirectLOGIC PLCs or WinPLCs to standalone PCs or network servers for simple data logging. With DataWorx, users can log unlimited PLC data to networked PCs or file servers as delimited text files. The software also offers event-based “report by exception” data logging triggered by PLC program logic, easy configuration dialogs to make setup fast, and a PLC monitor utility for instant troubleshooting. The software requires no PC programming or 3rd party HMI, SCADA, or DAQ software application. Prices start at $395 for the version that supports one PLC.
