User Profiles

Purpose


User Profiles feature allows a user to save different arrangements and configurations of windows, panes, and dialogs for a variety of use cases, and recall these window arrangements.

Note: A maximum of 32 individual user profiles are allowed.

Accessing User Profiles

The User Profiles dialog is accessed by selecting User Profiles from the Tools Menu, choosing from the toolbar or by right clicking in the profile section in the lower left corner of the software.

 

 

 

Once selected, a User Profiles dialog will open as shown below:

The User Profiles can be managed in a variety of ways, as described in the section below.

  1. Profile Name: List of User Profiles with current marked as (active). Each Profile Name must be unique.
  2. Switch Profile: Allows the user to switch between current profile to another profile.
  3. Delete Profile: Select a profile to delete. The active profile cannot be deleted and attempting to delete the active profile will result in the following error.
  4. Rename Profile: Changes the name of an existing profile.
  5. Import Profiles: Allows a user to import a user profile(s) .adusr file. If an user profile being imported has the same Profile Name as an existing profile, the following dialog will display and give the user several choices on how to handle the duplicate User Profiles.
  6. Export Profiles: Allows a user to export user profile(s) which can be used on another PC.

  7. Save Current Settings into Selected Profile: Update the selected user profile with the current software configuration.

Note: Once the user profile has been updated, undo (Ctrl+Z) will not revert the user profile to its previous settings.

  1. Save Current Setting into New Profile: Save the current software configuration into a new user profile.

  1. Switch Profile: Change the active user profile to another user profile from the available list.

  2. Update Current File: Update current settings by saving to the selected profile.
  3. Save Current as New Profile: Save the current software configuration into a new user profile.
  4. User Profiles: Selecting user profiles will open the main user profile configuration dialog.
