Create System Report

The System Report is a detailed report contained in a .zip file that can be emailed to ADC tech support personnel for troubleshooting purposes.

Creating the System Report

Step 1: Go online with the CPU and select the Read Project From CPU option. This will ensure tech support gets the file currently running in the CPU.

Note: A System Report can still be created without being online with the CPU; however, the following files will be partially or completely excluded from the .zip file (it is highly recommended that an online report be created):
1) sw_fw versions - Only software version will be available. Firmware version will be excluded.
2) CPU_history - CPU history logs (whole file excluded)

Step 2: Select Create System Report from the Help Menu located on the Main Menu.

Step 3: Leave Include Project with Debug Information checked to include the project and choose a location to store the .zip file, then hit OK.

Note: The .zip file will be saved to the desktop by default if another location is not specified.

Note1: Not included if Include Project with Debug Information option is not selected.

Note2: When offline, SW version is the only version available.
