The P2 Bases are required for assembling the Productivity2000 System. The CPU, Power Supply, and the desired I/O modules are placed in the base connected to a common communication backbone. The Bases are designed to accommodate 4, 7, 11, and 15 I/O modules (P2-04B, P2-07B, P2-11B, and P2-18B, respectively), along with the CPU and Power Supply; each component having its own slot in the chosen base configuration.
