Export a Tag Name Database

Export Tag Name Database enables you to export an existing Tag Name Database in an xls or .csv(character delimited) file format.

Exporting a Tag Name Database

To export a Tag Name Database, do the following:

1. From the File menu, select Export and then Tag Name Database.

• The Export Tag Name Database window opens.

2. In the Save in field, click Browse and browse to the folder in which the exported database will be saved.
3. Complete the fields on the screen using the information in the table below.

Field	Description
File Name	Enter the file name or leave the default name Tag DB.
File Type	Click the drop-down arrow and select a file type of.xls or .csv.
Connected Device(s) Tag Name Database	To Export the Tag Name Database for all the devices listed, select All. To select individual devices, click on Select and then click on the check box to the left of each device to be included.
Option	There is an option to Export the Tag Name Database files with Internal Tags and Unused Tag. The default setting is with both items checked.

4. When complete, click on the Export button to begin Exporting. When the Export process is complete, a window opens as shown below that reads Export Completed.
