Tag Cross Reference |

Tag Cross Reference provides a way to easily view where Tags are being used in this specific project and offers options to sort the list by Screen Name or Number, or by the Tag Name.
Accessing Tag Cross Reference
- From the Main menu click the Tool menu and select Tag Cross Reference.
- Once selected, the Tag Cross Reference Window shown below opens.
Tag Cross Reference — Sorted By Screen Name/No.
In the Tag Cross Reference Window, the list of Tag Names is sorted according to the Screen No and Screen Name fields. The Tag Cross Reference opens by default.
Options for this window are described in the table below.

| Reference Type | This is the only part of the screen window that does not change. This section of the window provides two choices that allow the user to view this Tag information in this project sorted by the Screen Name or Number, or sorted by the Tag Names. Click on the preferred sort method. |
| Screen No. | Click on the up or down arrow 
to select a Screen Number
from the available list. When a Screen
Number is selected, the Tag
Name information for the selected screen number will appear in the Object Type, Object Name, and Tag Name fields. |
| Screen Name | Click on the down arrow 
to select a Screen Name
from the available list. When a Screen
Name is selected, the Tag
Name information for the selected screen name will appear in the Object Type, Object Name, and Tag Name fields. |
| Refresh | If a Screen Name or Number is not shown on the drop-down list of either the screen number or screen name, click on this Refresh button to force the program to refresh and update the information. |
| Tag Information | Displays information regarding the Tags available on the selected Screen Name or Number. The information displayed includes the Number of PLC Tags, the Number of Internal Tags, the Number of System Tags, and the Total Number of Tags. |
| Object Type | This column lists the Names of the Objects included in this Screen Name or Number to allow the user to easily identify the object and Tag Reference information. |
| Object Name | This column lists the Name given to a specific Object included in this Screen Name or Number to allow the user to easily identify the object and Tag Reference information. |
| Tag Name | This column lists the Tag Names assigned to the Objects included in this Screen Name or Number to allow the user to easily identify the object and Tag Reference information. |
| Close | Click on this button to Close the Tag Reference Window and continue working on your project. |
Tag Cross Reference — Sorted By Tag Name
When Sort By Tag Name is selected, the Tag Name information for that specific Tag Name is displayed. The list displays information on all objects that the Tag Name has been assigned to on any screen in the specific project.
The information provided on this list only applies if the Sort by Tag Name shown in the figure below is selected.

| Tag Information | Displays information regarding the selected Tags in the Tag Name field. The information displayed includes the Tag Address, the Tag Data Type, and the Tag I/O Type. |
| Screen No. | This column displays a list of all the Screen Numbers where the Tag selected on "Item b" has been assigned to an Object. More information on the specific Object is included on the same row as shown in the figure above and discussed in the Screen Name, Object Type, and Object Name columns. |
| Screen Name | This column displays a list of all the Screen Names where the Tag selected the Tag Name field has been assigned to an Object. More information on the specific Object is included on the same row as shown in the figure above and discussed in the Screen No., Screen Name and Object Type columns. |
| Object Type | This column lists the Type of the Objects that have been assigned the Tag selected in the Tag Name field. More information on the specific Object is included on the same row as shown in the figure above and discussed in the Screen Name, Screen Name, and Object Name columns. |
| Object Name | This column lists the Names of the Objects that have been assigned the Tag selected the Tag Name field. More information on this Object is included on the same row as shown in the Screen No., Screen Name, Object Type columns. |
| Close | Click to close the Tag Reference Window and continue working on your project. |
