Configuring the Control Tab

 

Note: The information in this topic applies ONLY to the Control tab available from the following topics: Numeric Entry, Recipe Object

The Control Tab allows the user to configure Handshaking between the Panel and the PLC to ensure Data is written within the specified time.

To configure the Notification and Handshake for the Recipe object, do the following:

  1. Click the Control tab.
  • The Control tab opens.

  1. Complete the fields on the screen using the information in the table below:

Field Description
Notification Tag Name The Notification Tag is the Controller Tag associated with a Bit to notify the PLC that a value has been entered. The C-more panel turns this bit ON when the Recipe Object is pressed and C-more turns this bit OFF when either the Handshake Tag (ON) is read from the PLC or when the Handshake timer times out. Click on the down arrow to select a Tag Name to assign where the Entry is to be sent.
Handshake Tag The Handshake Tag associated with a Bit that the Controller turns ON indicating that it has received the Notification Bit. Click on the down arrow to select a Tag Name to assign for the detection of a Handshake from the PLC.
Handshake Timeout If the Handshake Tag is not turned ON by the Controller in the amount of Time allowed by the Handshake Timeout field, a Handshake Timeout will occur. When a Timeout occurs, the Keypad stays open to indicate that the Notification and Handshake process failed.
To enter a Timeout value, click on the field and enter the amount of time allowed to receive the Handshake in milliseconds.
