Field | Description |
PLC IP Address | The DO-more CPU network IP address. To find the IP address for the Do-more PLC, use the NetEdit software utility or the Do-more Designer software to scan the network for Do-more PLC. Both are discussed below. |
Password | If the Do-more CPU is configured to use a password, the C-more project needs to store this password to communicate with the Do-more. It is necessary to enter the password into this field. |
Entries (0-10) | The C-more panel sends a request to the Do-more CPU. If the CPU does not reply within the specified "Timeout Time," the C-more panelsends the request again. Once the retry count (specified in this field) is reached, the C-more panel displays a PLC Timeout error on the screen. |
ACK Timeout Time (1-255) (in 100ms units: | The amount of time (in 100ms units) that the panel waits for an ACK reply after sending a request. The ACK simply says that the Do-more CPU received the request and is processing it. After the Timeout Timer expires, it retries. |
Command Timout Time (1-255) (in 100ms units) | The amount of time (in 100ms units) that the panel waits on the Command reply after sending a request. After the Timeout Timer expires, it retries. |
Poll Time (0-30000 msec) | The amount of time (in milliseconds) that the panel waits in between each request. |
Note: You must configure the Do-more password to allow access privileges for other devices. These privileges at a minimum must have at least Read Data — RD and Write Data — WD selected to work correctly with C-more. See the image below. |
Find the Do-more Network IP Address
You need the IP address of the Do-more to enter into the C-more project. To find the IP address for the Do-more PLC, use the NetEdit software utility or the Do-more Designer software to scan the network for Do-more PLC.
NetEdit Software Method to Find the Network IP Address
After you download and install NetEdit (it is also installed with the Do-more Designer software), open the software and browse the network. The Do-more CPU and IP address are here as shown below. Use this IP address in the C-more Panel Manager Device configuration show later.
Do-more Designer Software Method to Find the Network IP Address
Once you connect to the Do-more CPU with the Do-more Designer software, click the PLC drop-down menu and select System Information or click the Info button on the toolbar.
- The System Information window opens displaying the IP address settings at the bottom of the Info window.
